There will be changes to waste collection in your municipality in the coming period. We're happy to explain what will change for your business.
Why change?
The municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden, and Vijfheerenlanden have developed a new waste and raw materials policy to further improve waste separation and reduce residual waste. This applies to both private individuals and businesses. If we prevent residual waste and reuse more, we will need to extract fewer new materials from the earth. After all, everything we burn is gone forever and can no longer be reused. Therefore, reducing residual waste is important for the environment. Preparations and work for the implementation of this new policy are currently in full swing.
What will change?
Between April and June, you will receive an environmental pass. We will bring it to you. This pass has a chip with a unique number linked to your company. You will therefore need to sign for receipt. The current residual waste containers will be phased out starting in April. With the pass, you can open the residual waste collection containers in your municipality. So don't forget to bring your pass when you go to the container. Your rates will remain unchanged until December 31, 2023. If you separate raw materials properly and have little residual waste, your costs will be lower than if you have a lot of residual waste.
