As a resident, you can have your bulky household waste, white and brown goods collected at home. You can collect a maximum of 1 cubic meter (1 m) per appointment.3) to be collected. Residents of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam and Molenlanden pay per cubic meter (1 m3) €40,00. You pay immediately with iDeal when you make the appointment. In the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, residents do not have to pay separately for their bulky waste collection.

Bulky waste, also known as bulky household waste, includes items around the house like a broken chair or a discarded table. These are items and materials that shouldn't be placed in your residual waste container or the nearby collection bins, or that don't fit.

What can you do with bulky waste?

  • Does it still work? Then sell it, give it away, or take it to the cycle.
  • Is it broken? Have it repaired at a workshop of repair café, have your old or broken device taken by the supplier who supplies your new device or bring it to the recycling center

Conditions for having bulky household waste collected

We recommend that you read the terms and conditions carefully. This will prevent us from being unable to collect your waste.

  • Please ensure your waste is placed on the public road by 7:30 a.m. on the agreed-upon day. Make sure there are no trees, cars, or lampposts in the way. The location must be easily accessible for our trucks.
  • Do not place bulky household waste on your own property or near the collection containers (environmental parks).
  • Make sure that loose materials are bundled by type.
  • Maximum length per bundle: 1,5 meters.
  • Maximum weight per bundle: 25 kilos.
  • Separate metal (scrap iron) and electrical appliances from bulky household waste.

What don't we collect?

Please note: Batteries, asphalt, construction and demolition waste (such as plasterboard, bricks, rubble, roofing felt), impregnated wood (fences, poles, sleepers), wooden pallets, asbestos, car tires, small chemical waste (such as oil and paint), glass, sanitary ware, pruning and garden waste, mirrors, textiles, bags or boxes with contents cannot be collected from your home. You can find these products and materials take it to one of our recycling centers.
