If you're moving, you must notify the municipality where you're going to live. If you remain in a municipality or move to one where we handle household waste collection, we'll automatically receive notification of your move. You don't need to arrange this yourself.
Environmental pass
Every household in the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden, and Vijfheerenlanden has an environmental pass. This pass allows you to open the residual waste and organic waste containers in your municipality, provided it has been activated. It also gives you access to all our recycling centers. Are you moving to a new-build home?
The municipality will notify us of the new addresses. You can then apply to us for an environmental pass and the (raw material) containers that correspond to your home. You can do this by: contact Contact our customer contact center. We're happy to help.
Are you moving to an existing home?
The previous occupant left the environmental pass in the home. If you don't find it, please contact us immediately. We will block the old pass linked to your address. You will receive a new pass within 5 business days. You can do this by: contact Contact our customer contact center. We're happy to help.
A clean neighborhood starts with you!
Please dispose of your waste in the collection containers in your neighborhood. This will help keep the area clean and tidy, and prevent litter and vermin. It is not permitted to place waste or other items next to the collection container. You will be charged a high cleanup fee for this violation. See waardlanden.nl/schone-buurt.

If you live in a low-rise building with (raw material) containers, you'll naturally want to know which days you can have them emptied. You can easily check this in the online waste calendar or in the Waardlanden app.

If you move to a new address in one of the Waardlanden municipalities, you can, of course, continue using the Waardlanden app. You only need to update your address information in the app's "Settings." For more information about the convenient Waardlanden app, visit waardlanden.nl/app.
Your old home
You naturally want your old home to be left tidy for the new residents. Here are a few tips to help you arrange this:
- Have the containers emptied again before you move. Check the Waardlanden app or online waste calendar to see when this is possible.
- Don't use the containers after they've been emptied for the last time. Clean them and put the separated waste in a separate garbage bag. You can then dispose of these in the collection containers in your neighborhood or at your new address.
- Do you still have items for the recycling center? You can use your recycling pass until the moving date you provided to the municipality.
- Leave the environmental pass for your old home in the house.
