Household Waste Privacy Statement
Waardlanden collects waste and raw materials for the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden, and Vijfheerenlanden. Personal data is also processed in the performance of these tasks.
Since January 1, 2024, residents of the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and Molenlanden have had a say in part of the waste collection tax. One part is fixed, and the other is variable. This variable part is called the recycling rate. It's a new way of calculating the waste collection tax. If a resident of the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, or Molenlanden separates raw materials properly and has little residual waste, the costs will be lower than if a resident has a lot of residual waste. Therefore, data registration becomes more important.
This does not apply to residents of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden. For residents of Vijfheerenlanden, there will be no changes to the way waste collection charges are calculated. The municipality of Vijfheerenlanden will decide on the recycling rate after evaluating the effects of other measures (such as access control at recycling centers and residual waste containers).
