You live in a low-rise or ground-floor apartment with a garden in the built-up area of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden and have three waste containers at your home. You can take residual waste to the collection container in your neighborhood using your environmental pass. You don't have to pay separately for this. Together with the municipalities, we want to encourage and help residents reduce waste and separate it even more effectively. This is good for the environment and your wallet.
Low-rise buildings without containers
You might also live in a low-rise building and still use the collection containers in your neighborhood. Sometimes residents don't have room for three recycling containers. You probably live in the center of Leerdam or Vianen, for example.

Paper container at your home
You can dispose of paper and cardboard in the (blue) paper container. Break up cardboard so more can fit in the container.

PMD container at your home
Plastic packaging, metal packaging, and beverage cartons (PMD) should be disposed of in the (orange) PMD container. Ensure the packaging is as empty as possible. Rinsing is not necessary.

Organic waste container at your home
For food scraps, vegetable, fruit, and garden waste (organic waste), use the (green) organic waste container. Do you want to use bags? Only compostable bags with the Seedling logo or OK Compost logo are acceptable for organic waste.

Collection container for residual waste in the area
Dispose of your residual waste in the residual waste container in your neighborhood. You can open the container with your environmental pass. Residents of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden don't have to pay separately for this. Less residual waste is better for the environment and your wallet.

Collection container for glass in the neighborhood
All glass packaging, such as bottles and jars, should be disposed of in the glass recycling bin in your neighborhood or at a shopping center. Caps and lids can remain on; they are separated from the glass at the factory. Make sure the packaging is empty. Small amounts of residue are also fine. Rinsing is therefore not necessary.

Collection container for textiles in the neighborhood
You can bring clean, dry textiles in tied bags to the textile collection container in your neighborhood, at a shopping center, or at a recycling center. Textiles include clothing, curtains, and bedding such as sheets and duvet covers. Belts, bags, and shoes are also welcome. Worn and damaged fabrics are also allowed. These can be recycled as well.

To the recycling center with the environmental pass
At our recycling centers, you can separate around twenty waste and raw materials for reuse and recycling as often as you like. Residents of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden don't have to pay extra for this.

Have bulky waste collected
You can also choose to have your bulky household waste, white and brown goods collected at home. You can collect a maximum of 1 cubic meter (1 m) per appointment.3) can be picked up. As a resident of Vijfheerenlanden, you do not have to pay extra for this.
