Closure of environmental centres, Kringloop square and office

During the holidays, all waste recycling centres, Kringloopplein in Nieuw-Lekkerland and the Waardlanden office will be closed on:

  • Closed from 2.30pm on Thursday 18 December. The customer contact centre will be available by phone until 3pm.
  • Closed from 4pm on Wednesday 24 December.
  • Closed all day Thursday 25 December.
  • Friday 26 December closed all day.
  • Closed from 4pm on Wednesday 31 December.
  • Closed all day Thursday 1 January.

You are welcome at the Gorinchem environmental street with the Waardlanden environmental pass and the AVRI waste pass. You cannot visit the waste disposal site without a pass.

What you can bring away here

  • Waste
    Are broken items beyond repair or use? Or do you have items that do not belong or fit in the container? Then you can bring these to the environmental centre as often as you like using your environmental pass. Read more here. 
  • Small chemical waste (kca)
    Small chemical waste (MSW) is waste containing substances that are hazardous to health and the environment. This includes chemicals that are toxic, flammable or otherwise harmful. View offer conditions and tips here. 

What you can't take away from here

  • Soil and sand
    • Small amounts of potting and garden soil can be safely disposed of with the kitchen and garden waste.
    • For larger quantities of sand, soil and (garden) earth, there are special companies that take these materials, inspect and purify them for reuse.
