About Ecopark Groot-Ammers
On the Gelkenes industrial estate in Groot-Ammers, you will find Ecopark Groot-Ammers. The site houses an environmental street, a workshop, 2nd chance building materials depot, an education area and a recycling centre.
Going to the waste disposal site? Don't forget the environmental pass.
You are welcome at the Groot-Ammers waste disposal site with the Waardlanden environmental pass. You cannot visit the waste disposal site without a pass.
More information on the environmental pass
Environmental street
Bring your discarded goods and materials to the waste disposal site at the Ecopark. One of our staff will welcome you at the entrance. Together we will examine your cargo and advise you on the best route across the site. We will also tell you which goods and materials can be reused or repaired and which you can dispose of at the waste disposal site.
What you can bring away here
- Waste
Are broken items beyond repair or use? Or do you have items that do not belong or fit in the container? Then you can bring these to the environmental centre as often as you like using your environmental pass. - Small chemical waste (kca)
Small chemical waste (MSW) is waste containing substances that are hazardous to health and the environment. This includes chemicals that are toxic, flammable or otherwise harmful.
What you can't take away from here
- Soil and sand
- Small amounts of potting and garden soil can be safely disposed of with the kitchen and garden waste.
- For larger quantities of sand, soil and (garden) earth, there are special companies that take these materials, inspect and purify them for reuse.
Reuse
At the Ecopark, we give as many goods and materials as possible a second chance. At the waste disposal area, there is a special area where you can neatly put your things that could get a 2nd chance. In the workshop, people who need a helping hand work under supervision to repair or make up as many goods as possible, such as furniture. Of course, you can take back your repaired items yourself for a small fee. We sell donated items in the regional thrift shops or in the webshop of The Companion.
Sustainable building materials on offer
At 2nd Chance Building Materials you can buy sustainable building materials that you want to give a second life. Check out 2e Kans Bouwmaterialen's webshop for the current range of circular building materials. You can also drop off your reusable building materials.
Recycling centre
KoreNet converts goods that cannot be reused as products into reusable raw materials. For example, KoreNet separates your delivered wood into reusable wood and wood that goes to the chipboard industry. KoreNet also uses a sorting plant to separate raw materials delivered mixed, such as wood, plastic and metal for recycling.
Education
From the education room, you have a view over the Ecopark. Here you can learn more about the circular economy and how you yourself can contribute to a better environment. The education room can be visited by appointment and is suitable for groups, such as school classes. Guided tours of the Ecopark are also possible.
