Waardlanden provides waste and raw material collection for the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden, and Vijfheerenlanden.
For you and over 64.000 other households, our 110-person team ensures that you can separate your household waste into recyclable materials as efficiently and easily as possible. We transport collected materials to specialized companies that prepare them for reuse in various production processes and applications. Residual waste is sent to incineration plants. At Waardlanden, we have trucks, road sweepers, and passenger cars available to collect your waste and materials, clean roads, spread grit to prevent slippery conditions, and control weeds.

By outsourcing cleaning to municipalities and working across municipal boundaries, collection and sweeping routes have been optimized. The vehicles are deployed regionally, allowing for smart and efficient operations. Many shared services are used throughout the region.

Our primary task is to relieve municipalities of their cleaning and waste management needs. We focus on providing residents with excellent service and information. For example, we have additional service vehicles operating throughout the region daily to ensure flexible response, our environmental coaches are present at regional events to offer assistance and tips on reducing waste and improving waste separation, and you can request a new or additional waste container.

Supervision and enforcement: preventing serious pollution
During waste collection, we sometimes encounter serious contamination. This includes dumping waste near the collection containers and waste dumped in public spaces. Our supervisors do everything they can to prevent this. You can also contact them with any questions you may have about waste and raw materials.
