On 16 September 2023, it's that time again: World Cleanup Day! On this day, millions of people around the world are committed to making our planet a little cleaner. By cleaning up rubbish together, we make a difference to the environment. And we show that together we take responsibility for our planet.
World Cleanup Day began in Estonia in 2008 and has since grown into a global movement. In 2022, more than 180 countries already participated. A large turnout is expected again in 2023. The aim is to clean up as much waste as possible. This creates awareness about the importance of a clean and healthy living environment.
