You live outside the built-up area or on the outskirts of the municipality of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam or Molenlanden, such as in the polder or on the dike, and you now have containers for gft, pmd, paper and residual waste. There will be changes around waste in the coming period. Together with the municipalities, we want to encourage and help residents to separate less waste and (even) better.

Chipped container for your residual waste

You have a chipped 240-litre container for your residual waste. The chip has a unique number linked to your address. Special equipment in our trucks reads the chip every time it is emptied. Without the chip, we cannot empty your container. You can have your residual waste container emptied once every four weeks.

Recycling rate

From 1 January 2024, the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam and Molenlanden will calculate waste charges in a new way. You will have an influence on the amount of part of your waste collection levy. A part is fixed and a part is variable. This variable part is called the recycling rate. Do you separate raw materials well and have little residual waste? Then your costs will be lower than if you have a lot of residual waste.
