Four aid organisations active in Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerenlanden are jointly holding a day of action for Ukraine on 28 December 2022. On this Wednesday, residents can hand in goods at seven locations between noon and 7pm.
Collecting goods
At the aid organisations, residents of the region arrange collection of goods as well as transport to Ukraine and refugee camps in the immediate neighbouring countries. Goods needed include salt, (cooking) oil, sugar, flour, oatmeal, rice, pasta, canned vegetables, meat and fish, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and soap.

Donate money
People who prefer to donate money can do so to NL74 RABO 0306 6331 83 t.n.v. Stichting Christian Refugee Relief, quoting Action Day Waardlanden. The proceeds will be divided equally between the aid organisations CRR, GAiN, MeHoRo and SHVVC.
