What is changing and where?

The collection day for paper is changing in a number of streets in Leerdam. On this page, you will see three blue markings. Why a different collection day?

Routes are far from being updated, while a lot has changed in your area. For instance, many new houses have been built in Leerdam and new roads have been constructed. The new routes have been adjusted accordingly. This allows our drivers to collect paper and cardboard in your neighbourhood faster and better.

What is allowed in the paper container?

Dry and clean newspapers, leaflets, envelopes and cardboard boxes can all go with the waste paper. It can be recycled well. Is there plastic around a magazine or advertising leaflets? Take that off before you throw it in the paper container. Not sure whether something is made of paper or cardboard? If you can tear it, it is paper and you can put it in the paper container. Wet and dirty paper should not go in the paper container but in the residual waste, because it cannot be recycled properly. If you make cardboard small, more can go in the container.

Your personal waste calendar

The Waardlanden app includes your personal waste calendar. You can also set it to notify you when one of your containers can be taken away. Then you will never forget again. We share important messages in the app, such as changes in the collection routes or collection days. You can also quickly and easily file reports and make a bulky waste appointment. Don't have our app yet? Then download it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Or download your personal waste calendar.

Questions?

There are more changes around waste collection in the coming period. You may have questions about the changes. This is understandable. That is why you will find the answers here frequently asked questions.
